Probably no connection whatsoever.  People fostered/took in boarders and there is also the possibility she was just staying with your ancestor for a few days - perhaps her parents were friends of theirs.

If you want to go down that path - check freebmd for a birth for her as it will give her mothers maiden name or buy a copy of the 1951 marriage cert to get her fathers name and then you can research backwards from there
