Date and place of death for James Lee
« on: Thursday 02 February 17 20:26 GMT (UK) »
Hello, I am trying to find the death certificate for my uncle James Lee.

James Lee D.O.B was 6th November 1912, he was born in Glasgow Road Barrhead within the parish of Paisley. James had 10 siblings and he was the 2nd eldest son.

James parents where Henry Lee and Jane Coleman.

Many thanks,
Steve

This could be tricky did James marry ? And did he remain in Paisley have you checked deaths for his parents to see who the informant was

Hi Rosie,

Thanks for the reply. I know James death wasn't registered in Scotland as I have been in contact with the Mitchell library. I have tried the MOD to enquire if he was KIA and unfortunately that came with no record for James Lee born on this date.

My next avenue is the Royal Marines/Royal Navy.

I've been trying to trace him for around 18 months now, and I'm staring to think I will never find his final resting place.

Steve

Hi Bruce, no I haven't looked on Scottish people yet. To be honest I haven't got a account.
And yes Rosie the lee family still reside in Neliston. The only clue I have is that his nickmane was Gypsie James Lee - as he liked to travel around.
