Thanks for all this amazing information.

keyboard86 suggested that I should look at a particular census which I did from Ancestry, without success.
Can anyone tell me how do I find Census Ref RG12/4481/77/41 ?
I have an ancestry account ...
Do I fill in the box, ED, institution, or vessel or piece, or folio ?

Thanks ....

Hi, This is the breakdown

Census ref RG12 piece number 4481 folio 77 page 41

I dont have Anc* but if it does not work try the old and/or advanced search

Other than that put in details of one of the people listed for the 1891 by Keyboard

Hope it helps.

Cas

Hi need help :) the "George Cummings" Nephew in the 1891 census aged 15 b Swansea cannot locate in 1881 census but in 1901 their is a George CRIMMINGS 25 b Swansea shown as Private in Welsh Regiment, South Stoneham, Hampshire
Census Ref RG13/1064/142/46

Other Cummin/s in 1881 Wales suggest possible Irish connection?

George Cummings
Q2 1903 Swansea Vol 11a p 508
Age at Death    25

Given the Hill St address, think this may relate to your George

Hi Keyboard 86,
Still I cant find that census, and often wonder if the Australia Ancestry site is different  to other countries.
I looked for both Robert REES, and Robert REES, in the 1881 Welsh Census:
then:
in: ED, Institute etc put in 12
piece: 4481
folio: 77
page: 41
I couldnt find him ...
Do you have any other ideas, thanks

Hi well if you are looking in the 1881 Wales census then Robert HEES is not there it is the 1891 Wales Census, just put in those census refs as described? Piece 4481 Folio 77 Page 41
Keyboard86

PS can also put in his first name Robert ie search for a Robert on that census reference.
