Thanks very much for that Shaun, I'd not noticed that before, a very useful tool.

Dead end now though as the address doesn't appear in the census.

I found it there without too much trouble but then I am used to the vagaries of the search engine.

Hello groom,

I'm looking for a Caleb Jones (49, a moulder, father Joseph Jones - deceased) who gave his address as 173 Oxford St, Bilston on his marriage certificate, 15/05/1920, when he married Elizabeth Lucy Goff, address Oxford St, (20, father Thomas William Goff). Elizabeth was my grandmaother. Her daughter was born at the same address on 02/02/1920. ie before the marriage.

I have been unable to find a possible Caleb and hoped that he might have been at that address in 1911. I cannot find his death either.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

George

Elizabeth (widow) married John Whitehead 08/08/1934 in Colchester.

Hello ShaunJ,

Yes, I've seen him and he seems likely but I cannot find his death between 1920 and 1934, nor can I find him in 1911 census.

Yes, that certainly looks like him, and I've now got him on Genealogist, just need to find his death now.
