It was after my grandma I believe but we had a number of deaths around that time which is why things are a bit hazy with the years.  He died in Batley, he lived in the same property for years.

Right - Here's Joseph's birth.  He died in February 1996 and birthdate shown as 7.3.1908 and he was Joseph Edward

GRO online maiden name search shows Mothers maiden name as Martin - same as Hilda but the 1917 marriage I found cannot be right if Joseph was her brother.

That is wonderful I do vaguely remember an Eric, I believe he moved to Norfolk and had 2 children one was called Gwyneth.  That you so much for putting the pieces together
