Rosie (Rose) Osborne
« on: Tuesday 07 February 17 22:08 GMT (UK) »
Please could anyone help me? My great grandmother was Rosie Osborne i understand she was part of the Osborne fair family.  She became pregnant (unmarried) and was taken to a workhouse in Cambridgeshire.

I'm pretty sure she was born 1886. I can not find any information before her marriage to my greatgrand father.

Ive tried searching the Osborne family but no luck.

Thanks in advance

Sarah

Hi thanks for reply.

she married Levi Skeels 1910.  Her child's name was Arthur born 24/01/1907. She re-married after my G Grandfathers death in between 1939-45.

He found her in the workhouse when he needed a house keeper. He took her and her son in.

Any help to trace her back would be very much appreciated. Would love to know if she/I have any family still alive.

Many thanks

Have you looked on the 1939 for Rosie as this should record her date of birth?

Hi so if you have all this information what does the 1911 census tell regarding the birth place of Rose Osborne, and have you located her in 1939, and who did she marry after Levi?

I cant locate her birth. I only have info from when she had Arthur and married my G Grandfather. she married a chap called Fred Watson.

AM i right in thinking the traveller community didnt register births etc.
