This looks like the records for Alick AKA George Kirby. The entire military file has been digitized.....PDF link near the bottom of the page. It is VERY slow to download.

You can send for the military files for all of your Leatherdale men through Library and Archives Canada.

The cost is about $15.00 Canadian for each file.  They are always backed up so might take some time to receive them.

lillybell, the entire service files of the WW1 soldiers have been digitized and are free to view through the links posted above. They are VERY VERY slow to download. One is 32 pages, the other 34 pages if I remember correctly.

Rhubarbrebbie22, the WW1 files should tell you where and when they were posted, although not particular battles they may have been part of. There are some war diaries on line through Library and Archives Canada that may give you more info. It is a bit of hit and miss, though. These records are free to view.
