Ann HURST, m 1591 Prescot, Lancs, Robert BRECK

Hello:

Hoping someone might have birth info and family for Ann HURST. I can find nothing prior to her marriage in 1591 to Robert BRECK (1563-1644).

Ann died in Prescot and was buried there 18 Apr 1627.

Any information or tips for researching the HURST family in Lancashire at the time would be very much appreciated.

although buried in Prescot - do you know if they lived in Rainforth prior to the death of Robert ??

I don't think that's the correct burial but I'll check again.

One child was baptized as child of Robert of Raynforth, if I recall correctly. Other children were baptized Prescot.

Today, I've found mention of HURST of Ashton Under Lyne but it is 1600s to 1700s and, searching ancestry.com with that info, find only the burial of Nicholas 22 Jan 1698/9 and two entries of baptism for Nicholas 10 Feb 1604 and the same date 1605 (someone made the correction, I guess).

There just doesn't seem to be anything prior to the above info.

I've seen reference to the HURST family in Winwick, Garston, Hurst, Ashton Under Lyne, etc., but not a time frame to help me place Ann.

I've discovered a baptism for Anne HURSTE 12 Oct 1564 Leigh, Lancs, (which would fit pretty perfectly as husband Robert BRECK was 1563-1644 Prescot).

Additionally, there is a 24 Jul 1562 marriage in Leigh for Richard HURST and Joan SWANNE but I cannot tie the birth of Anne above to them.
