Is this my Alexander Wallace ?
« on: Saturday 11 February 17 16:44 GMT (UK) »

I found this on line somewhere and I am hoping he is mine

Alexander was born 8Th April 1832 Falkirk Stirlingshire Scotland he was the son of Alexander Wallace and Isabella Binnie .
The information I found was that he died on 29Th July 1906 in Woodstock Connecticut   USA
How can I find out if he is my ancestor ?

There is a pedigree resource file which says the brother John Binnie Wallace also passed away in Woodstock Connecticut but no sources for either Alexander or John.

Can't see either on census yet.

Found another reference that says John Binnie Wallace passed away in Woodstock Canada.

1 Feb 1911 Died at Woodstock Oxford Ontario Canada age 81

http://freepages.family.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~kevinreed/pafn87.htm#11072

However the canadian death registration shows father Thomas Wallace and Belle Wallace  ???

It must be him Rosie  his brother John Binnie Wallace was born 14 February 1830 also in Falkirk and married
a Jessie Taylor Roberts in 1881 in Edinburgh and died near there in 1912 .

They had one son also John Binnie Wallace who was born in 1884  and I believe went to Canada but I have not researched him yet .

My internet connection is going hay wire today no wonder the weather is horrific here
