St Nicholas Great Yarmouth Parish Register

"Pains" Church Money born 3 April 1845, baptized 13th, son of Willoughby Church Money, base born.

transcribed as Pains this must be Darius.

Willoughby Church Money was the daughter of Christmas Thomas Money (bricklayer)and Susannah, bap 3 October 1822. St Nicholas Great Yarmouth.
Thank you, yes, I have Darius Church Money's mother as this already. I have been unable to find a father to Darius Church Money however. I believe that the daughter Willoughby moved back in with Thomas Christmas Money and in a later census Darius is then just listed as one of his children. Any ideas how to find the father?

Limpenhoe Parish Registers

Rebecca baptized 7 February 1847 father Joseph Webster, mother Elizabeth Swash, illegitimate

William baptized 27 May 1849. father George Smith, mother Elizabeth Swish, base born mother a servant.
Thank you. I'm getting confused. Does this suggest Rebecca Elizabeth Swoish 1846-1926 was illegitimate to Elizabeth Swash, and the same Elizabeth Swash went on have another illegitimate child with George Smith, a William Swoish?

Your question on post 17 YES, she had two illegitimate children with two different men.
Its all there in the parish registers.

Concerning the father of Darius Money you probably will never know.
As Willoughby went back to live with her parents and they raised her son, she probably did not apply for parish relief.
If she had applied the overseers would have asked her for the name of father so they could force him to pay child support and not be dependent on parish relief.

The Norfolk Record Office has a lot of records on Great Yarmouth, you have names and dates so you can narrow down a search, the index NROCAT is free.

I've managed to find the record for a Rebecca being illegitimate child to Joseph Webster and Elizabeth Swash. Are you saying that this would be the same Elizabeth Swash that is later married to Daniel Spooner, daughter of Elizabeth Newson and William Swoish? So the 2 illegitimate children, Rebecca and William are living in the household and listed as niece and nephew but they are her children?
