I had put my current query on a new topic as it was more to determine whether the Catholic parishes kept any parishioner records (not vitals so much as general info) than specific query about Lawrence.
He's proved to be a little elusive. Just as a matter of interest, were clerical workers not listed with their occupation in Dublin directories?
I can find shop owners, tradesmen etc but no clerical workers are listed by definition. There are some people recorded without an occupation - would it be possible that they fall into the clerical category?
