Nursing home owned or managed by a Mrs Kiely in the 1960s. Now dissolved
« on: Sunday 12 February 17 15:59 GMT (UK) »
Hi, just wondering if by any chance anyone would have known of a nursing home owned or managed by a Mrs Kiely . It was operating in the late 1960s and still open in 1990, but has since been disolved.   I know it is a really vague enquiry,. But just posting it on the off chance that someone doing research might remember a Mrs Kiely and a nursing home and could give me even an area it was in.   Thanks.

If you are not sure of the county it would be better to have put your post on Ireland General. (You could ask for one of the posts to be moved using the Report to Moderator, bottom right in blue.)
As most people use the new post button, posting in different counties isn't going to make any real difference to you chance of getting an answer.

Same question on Dublin board.

I did try searching a bit but didn't come up with anything.

Hi, sorry for posting it in the 2 different countries.  I didn't realise that was not a done thing.

As far as I know it wasn't a mother and baby home.  Just an ordinary nursing home, I'm going to try searching old editions of Thoms directory and see if I can narrow it down. The only other clue I have is that it might have been on the coast.
