Please, could you say what means the sum at the end of an extract in the calendar of probate. Thanks for help.

Do you mean the amount/value of the deceased persons estate?

Sorry - but isn't it self explanatory?  It's the total value of the amount of money/property/ belongings etc the deceased left at the time of death

Exactly the same as today
