I have messaged Jennifer on GenesReunited a couple of times, The first in 2012.  I guess she is no longer subscribed.

RosemaryJoan that's a great census find. I very much think this family will be connected to mine in some way. The 102 year old John Boyce will be born c 1799. I think my 3 x Gt Grandparents, John Boyce and Mary McCormick were born c 1781. Mary died in Girvan, Ayrshire aged 90, in 1871.

A bit of fresh information on dates here. An 1862 birth record of their son Thomas shows that John Boyce and Sarah (or Sally) Anne Forsyth married in Gilford, County Down in November or December 1840, not 1844. The earlier date is far more plausible as John and Sarah’s first child arrived in Girvan in 1842/1843, and the info comes from John Boyce himself as the birth informant.
