According to births Robert was registered as Robert King Holms (not Robert Roy) on 20/9/1909 Loanhead, parents as you state.

Marriage date of parents on certificate is 17/6/1906 when it was actually 14/6/1907 on marriage certificate??

Can't help with census though.

Thanks, looking again at Robert Roy on the Army records I can now read King.
The writing is not good.

Just looking through free census index on SP I think you will find the family are living in Cowdenbeath, Fife and not where you expected them to be.
