I'm trying to get some information on a Thomas Quigley. He was born circa 1872 in Co. Mayo and later joined the RIC circa 1891/1892. At one point he served in Co. Roscommon. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction where I might get information please.

Thanks Sinann. That looks like him ok. His wife was Mary Ellen Vahey so again that looks like her. Is there anyway I can find his police service record?

Never heard of anyone finding RIC records, I would think they would be in England if anywhere, most government type records wouldn't have been left in Ireland.

At least you know he was only stationed to Galway shortly after Linda's birth as she was born in Mayo, unless her mother when home for the birth I guess.

The subscription website Findmypast has the following records.
They have the RIC Pension records from 1826-1925 and also service records from 1816 - 1927.
You can access these at your local library if in the UK
