Added-
William's father was Thomas Kennedy Brooks & in 1901 Mary Young was a servant in the Brooks household-

His mother Jane died in 1903 and by 1911 the family seem to have left Ballydawley-
Administration of the estate of Jane Brooks late of Ballydawley County Londonderry Widow who died 15 October 1903 granted at Londonderry to William Brooks Farmer.

Looks like they moved to Canada- William says 1906 & son 1910 (although we know he was with grandparents in Ireland in 1911). Daughters Margaret & Jeanie & 2 sons (William & Alexander) born in Manitoba. 1916 census-

Invaluable material! Mary Young and William Brookes moving to Manitoba Canada is new information, It is interesting that Ella Young emigrated to Winnipeg Manitoba in 1925. I have details of the extended family of Ella Johnston nee Young who died in Winnipeg on 19/8/1977.

Great to have the information verified. I had acquired most of the D O B from G R O N I but not purchased any certificates. The marriage of Margaret Young to a David McMullan may have been at Tralee around 1906. Still cant verify this. Margaret had Ella on 1/4/1905 and no father is indicated. David and Margarets  first child Ernest was born 20/12/1907. Albert 28/12/1910.David 2/2/1914.
Cecil 18/2/1915.William 14/8/1916. Hilda 15/1/1918. Maria 15/11/1918.Norman 20/1/1923.Eva 17/8/1925. This family lived at Moygashael, Donaghmore and settled in Coalisland.
The names of the Devlin and Brookes children has been helpful. Frederick the son to Annie Young is new information. There is a headstone in St Lukes cemetery Tamlaght dedicated to a Fred Young died 17/11/1980, his wife Isabella died 7/6/1984 and son Stanley died 25/10/2011. More research required to see if this is the same Frederick born in 1915.

You can check for the McMullan/Young marriage on Irish Genealogy website but the only one anywhere in Ireland I found was 1887 in Castlederg-

Thanks. Margaret was only born in 1886. David was from the Benburb area. They didnt seem to travel very far during married life. Assuming they were married.

Thanks for the info on the Death of Matilda. Can you confirm that Frederick died on 19th May 1910?
Have you any information on the first two children born to Matilda.
William Joseph born 17th July 1904 and later married a Elizabeth Freeburn
Samuel born on 4th March 1906.
Did you ever get Samuel snr military record and death confirmed?
