Hello   I am not sure who that jemima is.  Impossible to tell without more information.  Without a baptism for jemima Harris I am stuck again.     LizR

You could contact via email and ask for further info in the original register relating to the marriages, there would be a fee. Unable to say what extra details. Just that it has PWB added after index entry which is personal detail, Witness or witnesses, Banns

Think the banns would be separate, it would just state on the marriage entry.. by banns.

Or ask if any are going to the archives look up the marriages for you.

Good luck

Thank you Cas.  I did check out their website yesterday.  The in house database for parish records looks amazing.   Went looking for Jemima Harris too.   No harris in Llangyfrlach baptised between 1798 and 1805.  Seem odd.   It was on free reg.  Also tried Ancestry and Find my past with wildcards.  Do you think this is a chapel baptism?       Thanks again.   LizR

if it's any help, the 1824 marriage in Swansea St Mary shows both otp, he signed, she marked. The witnesses were John & William Davies, William witnessing several marriages in adjoining pages so may be the parish clerk.

In the Llangyfelach baptisms, there's a William Harries baptised in 1795 and then the next Harries one is Mary Harries in 1811.

Thank you both for your input.   I was trying to establish Eleanor Thomas age from the records I have
          Working back     1881 census   56
                                   1871   "         46
                                   1861    "        36
                                    1851   "        26
1844   Aug  marr cert  of full age
                                  1841  census   15    rounded down
Since there are 7 years between marr and 1851 census I think she was 19 when she married and 16 in the 1841 census   giving her a birth year of   1823/24.  Hannah is older  btween 20 and 25 so not likely to be born 1823.  She might even be Thomas Thomas younger sister.
Thomas says born out of county in 1841 and Llangyfelach in 1851.  Thanks for witnesses on Swansea marriage.   Do you have access to Llangyfelach marriage in 1821?   So many chapels in the area.
       thank you both again.         LizR

sorry, I don't have online access to the Llangyfelach marriage.

At least you know the marriage will have been in a parish church at that time.
