Wicklow Bray McDonald Butler Dempsey Doyle
« on: Thursday 16 February 17 19:47 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Does anyone have Wicklow relatives from the 1800's with the surnames McDonald, Butler, Dempsey, or Doyle?  I'm especially interested in the Bray area.  Hope someone else is researching the same names!

I would like to find the parents and birth records for John McDonald and Catherine Butler.  I'm guessing they lived in Bray or nearby.

I have a June 1848 or 1849 (hard to decipher) Bray marriage record for John McDonald and Catherine Butler.  The witnesses on their marriage record are Sarah Dempsey and Christopher Doyle.  The marriage record lists Bray as the parish.

Sarah Dempsey married James Gannon in 1849.  Sarah Dempsey's father Edward Dempsey possibly lived on Main Street in Bray.

John McDonald and Catherine Butler moved to the United States by 1852.

Thanks!
