Death in California

Searching for more information re an 1881 death at Sacramento, California.

A John Campbell, born Scotland died 29th April 1881.  Can sks help with additional details re
this man.  Occupation,etc.   The attachment is all I can find at present.

Seems they married in USA as wife was born USA i.e. a bit harder to find his roots.

Do the children on the census' (which Erato found), tie in with the info. you have on his descendants to be sure you have the correct man?

Have you found when he arrived in USA & where his ship departed from etc?

Before Erato kindly corrected me...

Campbell is a very prominent name in Scotland i.e. you may really have to depend on him hopefully using the Scottish naming pattern for his children as a clue?

Could you kindly please add what info. you have which makes you think this could be your relative?

The more info. you provide, the more likely people can help to prove/disprove that possibility but working with a blank sheet tells us nothing nor helps us dig deeper as we need other facts which may tie in while researching.
