Hi Stevenson1,

If you have the information readily to hand,  what are the names of:

a) Isabella's parents.
b) The names and years of birth of David & Isabella's children.

Looking for a pattern in child-naming.....it often helps.

Cheers

Hi,

Thanks for the added information - can you enlarge on the children please - needing years they were born, or at least christened (although, I realise a Christening might occur much later than a birth)

You list:
Quote
James, John, Catheren and David spring * there last name is Findlay

(not sure what you mean by 'spring'?

From Family search, I see the following issue (2) of the ones you mentioned, to parents David FINDLAY & Isabella GRIEVE:

   1) James FINDLAY, chr 1785, Dalrymple
   2) Cathren FINDLAY, chr 1786, Dalrymple

There is also:  a Margrat FINLAY, 1788, Straiton, with parents of same names, who isn't on your list?

What are the dates and places. for sons John & David?

Cheers
