Have sent 3 messages to ancestry tree owners to make them aware of the CWGC appeal.
Hopefully there will be a near relative in someones line to be able to contact CWGC.
Fingers crossed anyway.  ;)

That's great - need to be a relatively close relative not a 3/4/5 cousin removed.

Sandra

I do have Eldridge, but not a blood line.  Eldridge married into my 4xGreat Uncle's line.  So no go, I'm  afraid. Hopefully a close relative may come forward. :)

I do know it needs to be a fairly close match because someone was recently turned down as being to distant  :'(

Have had a response from someone who is a 4th cousin 5 x removed but that will not be close enough for CWGC - so here are the Eldridge family on census to see if we can find any other descendants.

1881 census Monks Risboro, Buckinghamshire.

George Eldridge   42 Sophia Eldridge   40
Francis Eldridge   17 Able Eldridge   15
Fred Eldridge   12 Alice Eldridge   13
Lenard Eldridge   10 Thomas Eldridge   5

Father George Eldridge passed away 1906 - Wycombe Bucks aged 67 years. 3a 521
