If your John HOUSEMAN is the one who died in 1867 then it looks like Mary died in 1836 and he remarried to Jane OGDEN in 1839.  They can be found in 1841/51/61.  In 1851 John's birthplace is Westby and in 1861, Ballam.

Note that daughter Margaret's age should be 7 in 1841, not 1.  It looks like the first daughter Margaret (born in 1815) died in 1817.  John's occupation jumps around a bit - weaver/labourer/sawyer.

John's second marriage to Jane is within civil registration and in the field for father's name is written 'Illegitimate'.

I do think that John is probably related in some way to Robert HOUSEMAN who married Agnes/Aggy SWARBRICK in 1794.

Debra  :)

I can't see an original image but you might be able to find some info. here,

This baptism can also be seen here,

https://archive.org/stream/lancashireregist15cath/lancashireregist15cath_djvu.txt

REGISTERS OF WESTBY
1789
21. John Son of Mary HOUSMAN, Balam. Will. SWARBRICK & Ann
HOUSMAN &c.

I think that Will. SWARBRICK and Ann HOUSMAN would be godparents but I am not sure :-\
