DONOVAN of Derrylahan townland (Dunmanway)
« on: Sunday 19 February 17 18:12 GMT (UK) »
If anyone finds they are connected to this family, a local study covering the family is underway. If anyone has anything to share not already recorded, I would be pleased to hear from them. Comments and corrections welcome. I would be particularly interested in any descendants having knowledge that connects the DONOVANs of Derrylahan with the DONOVANs of the neighbouring townland of Derrinasafagh (beyond that this area of West Cork is a known DONOVAN homeplace), who share a naming pattern.
The current synopsis is on http://creativegraces.net/genindex/odonovan.html
Thanks.

Hi I am related to Timothy and Ellen Donovan From Dunmanway.  Their son Edward is my Great Grandfather Born abt 1830. He was sent to western Australia as a convict in 1854. He changed his name from Donovan to Dunn when he was arrested. Have prove his father was Timothy and his mother Ellen McCarty  On Edwards children baptism records in the 1860 they mention Edwards parents as Timothy and Ellen Donovan
Would love to hear from anyone else related to this family.
