Restore Old Photo with colour, please? Royal Marine
« on: Monday 20 February 17 20:49 GMT (UK) »
Hi, This is my first post; would someone be able to restore my late father's military photograph with colour, please? I believe I can identify the medal ribbons he has. He has just passed on Boxing Day last. Please let me know if you need any further info. Thank you. Numpty75.  :) (I will learn how to upload the photo).

Hi Numpty,

Welcome to RootsChat :)

You can still attach your photograph to your posting by clicking the modify and then the attach button (it is just below the white box where you type) ;)

Regards

Sarah

His medals are left to right:

1939/45 Star: Atlantic Star: Africa Star: Defence Medal: War Medal 1939-45.

His uniform would be navy blue with gilt metal collar dogs and RM shoulder titles.

Hope this helps?

Cheers, Ade.

I am sorry for your loss. I tried to follow the medal order provided by Adrian. If my colours are wrong please let me know and I will recolour/reorder them.

Any other changes for skin, eyes, hair colour please do ask.

I tried to keep the photo authentic as possible with the colour additions.

Good quality size scans will mean much better restores >> hint hint :-)
