Restoration (& dating) pls: Hughes family in Ireland: Part1
« on: Tuesday 21 February 17 00:51 GMT (UK) »
Hello. We have recently been given copies of some family photos, most in poor condition (some are simply just photocopies of photos). So restoration might be quite a challenge. The photos relate to my husband’s grandmother (Eliz) who came to Australia in 1926 with her three siblings: her twin brother, Albert and her two sisters, Violet and Edith. Eliz stayed but the others all later returned to Ireland, apparently they couldn’t cope with the hot Queensland climate.

These two photos are badly damaged.  :-\  The first is most likely these three sisters, Violet, Eliz & Edith. The second photo is of Albert (Eliz's twin). Both photos were taken in Brisbane. Not sure what can be done to restore them but any improvements would be appreciated. Tints and/or frames not necessary but pls don’t rule them out if you want to play.

If possible, I will post some of the other photos of this family now as well.

Thank you .. Leend
