From reply 14 - The age and place of birth of Jessie McKinnon would vary from what is in the original post but one to throw into the mix and worth a little investigation.  Food for thought.
Puts brother John and sister Jessie in Pittsburgh at the right time.

 
There was a Jessie McKinnon - aged 22 years - born about 1890 Portree Inverness. Domestic crossed the border from Canada to the USA - father Donald Portree Scotland. Arriving Niagara Falls 12 June 1912. Had been living 268 James Street Hamilton Ontario.
Going to brother John 1603 Broad Street, Pittsburg PA - employed and resident. Jessie arrived St Johns 1912 on the Cassandra.

New York, Passenger Lists, 1820-1957 - John McKinnon - born 1888 Portree and aged 22 years - single - Glasgow to New York on the Furnessia - arriving 17 May 1910 - occupation policeman - father Donald McKinnon - 4 Beaumont Crescent  Portree. Going to Pittsburg PA. Friend Thos Blackhall, 7606 1/2
Susquehanna Street Pittsburgh.

Doris married Robert C Wine - 18 October 1941 - Detroit, Wayne, Michigan - father John and mother Jean Robertson.
