Found an obit in the Toronto Star, 27 Aug 1941, page 28 ...

Caroline Garden Thompson - died Aug 26 1941 at her home 348 Ontario Street, Toronto.  Caroline Garden, eldest daughter of the late Captain Peter and Mrs Jean Imrie Thompson.  Sister of Christine Thompson and Mrs J I Livingston.  Interment St. James Cemetery

Ties in with what Sandra found in Replies 3 and 4.
