Hi have you found possibly the other Charles Queen & Lily on the 1911 census who married in Auckland, also where was the Lily with Charles in Dipton born, how many years do they state as being married for?

Hello keyboard86,

Yes, their geographic locations seemed to knock them out of the equation but at the moment I have no idea how long the Charles and Lily in Dipton were married or where Lily was born.  This is what I need to investigate.  Queen is not a name that is common in this area so that should make it a bit easier to research.  Unfortunately the postulated name for Lily (Golightly) is very common here so that cancels things out a bit!

The 1911 census will give you  the number of years married and Lily's place of birth.

I  also note the following birth in Auckland St Andrew Lily Golightly 11 Oct 1889 (baptism 6 Nov 1889) parents Robert and Sarah Alice.

It might also be worth using the 1939 register to find the  date of birth of the Lily Queen in Bishop Auckland.

Hi again, interesting family that Queen/Quinn in 1891/1901 as some of the children's names I have checked have Mothers maiden name Muldoon, or Muldson? But I believe Jane remarries in September qtr 1907 Morpeth to a George Appleby using the name Jane Ann Collins, there are two births in Morpeth ( look to be twins) of a Mary Jane Collins Sept qtr 1893 and Blanche Collins again mothers maiden name Muldoon?

Hi all this family are driving me nuts, examples:-

When/If John Queen/Quinn married a Jane (Ann) c 1880?

Birth registration of first born John 24th June 1880 supposedly Blyth ( Tynemouth)?

Birth of Jane (Ann) c 1860 Maryport?

Why at marriage to George Appleby Jane ( Ann) is now a Collins?

Twins born 1893 Morpeth Blanche/Mary Jane Collins mmn Muldoon?

Death of John Queen/Quinn snr 1901/7

I am having similar troubles with this - but I have to tell you that Blyth is a long way from Tynemouth so please don't confuse the two

So Blyth, Cowpen as examples are not in the Tynemouth registration district?

Blyth is about 10 miles North of Tynemouth, so it seems unlikely.  Tynemouth is part of North Tyneside with a population of 10,000 ish.  Blyth must have three or four times that population so I would think it unlikely to be in the Tynemouth registration district
