The parish records are at Maidstone History and Library Centre, about 2 miles from me!

I suggest that you go and have a look at them, then.  At the same time you could ask what other records they have for Rolvenden.  ;D  If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer!  :D
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!

You mentioned something odd about the answer you received from Rolvenden Church. They could well still have their register at the church. Have you considered contacting the Vicar of St. Marys?

Forgot to say, I could check in the Maidstone Archive Centre but rather get it from the Churchwarden.
