Yes - I can't see his death either.   He should also have been around for the 1891 census and I can't see him :-\

I wonder if Margaret eloped :) There was a Peter Gibson age 6 living as a grandson with the Gillespie family I posted before in 1881!!

The death for George Fleming is indeed on SP.

Death entry in name of plain George Fleming - 1891 - in registration district Kelton.

His age is given as 63 - confirms his 2 wives, and informant was his son John Fleming.

That could be the Peter Gibson on Family Search. Yes, I noticed him on the 1881 census. Your theory she left him, could be correct.

Many thanks for that  ;)

I did see that one for the district of Kelton but, I was looking for Dumfries.

Having George's death certificate tells me his son John was still in Dumfriesshire and moved to Carlisle after 1891, where he died in 1921.

After reading George's death certificate I see  his mother's maiden is wrong. I have contacted Scotlands People but, not sure if they can do anything about it, but worth a try.

I think this may be Mary in 1891  living in Govan??

Lillias Gillespie 32 b Lochmaben, Dumfriesshire
John Gillespie 10
James Gillespie    1
Mary Fleming 14 Niece  b Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire
Joseph Fleming    7  Nephew b  England

Sorry to trouble you again.

The Mary Fleming above I can search for -  it's the Joseph Fleming I am curious to find. I think he may be John Fleming's son, who died in Carlisle, 1921. John Fleming was George FLEMING's son from his first marriage.
Where would I look to find this Joseph?
