I have recently joined Rootschat and would be really pleased to hear from anyone who is researching the PREEDY family in Oxfordshire and Wiltshire.

Hi Chris
I have just started doing a bit of family research for a friend and she has Preedy's from Oxfordshire in her family tree. Who are you researching?

Regards

Hi Dalenya,

My Oxfordshire Preedys were mainly from the area of Great Tew.  William Preedy of Great Tew was my 8x Great Grandfather.  I also have Preedys in South Newington and Bishopstone.

Any connections??

Best wishes,
Chris

Hi Chris
The Preedy's that I've found in my friend's family seem to be from the Tadmarton area, so don't think your branch is the same. If I do find a connection with your Preedy's I'll certainly get back in touch with you.
Happy hunting.

Dalenya

Hi Jem
I don't think the the Preedy's from Gloucestershire are anything to do with the ones I'm researching, but If I find that they are I'll certainly get in touch with you.  Many thanks.

Hi Chris. I've only just joined RootsChat. I am descended from Preedys from Yarnton Oxfordshire. I can't trace the line back past Robert Preedy born abt 1750, married Elizabeth Lee in Yarnton in 1774, and he died and was buried in 1808, in Yarnton. I'd be interested to help if you're still researching them. I live in Northamptonshire. Kind regards, Julie
