Trowbridge

My Grandmother- Sarah Elizabeth Trowbridge (20/07/1903-10/02/1974) lived in Belfast,Cloghy and her parents came from Portaferry. She had a brother Samuel ( 20/07/1903- 25/08/1968) you guessed it- her twin, and a sister Isabella (1906-??). Members of the family lived in a place called Dunmurry, Co Antrim and an other member moved to England.
Does anyone have any info on this family?

Regards

MK

In 1911 Sarah Trowbridge, age 7, is here along with siblings Samuel & Isabella & mother Sophia (widow)- head of household is their uncle William Coffey-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Down/Ardkeen/Cloghy/241031
You mentioned Portaferry so this might be the correct Cloghy townland-
https://www.townlands.ie/down/upper-ards/castleboy/cloghy/

Isabella's birth (1906) confirms names of both parents- Henry Trowbridge (soldier) & Sophia Coffey-

Henry Trowbridge, musician, married (1902 Belmont Presbyterian Church) Sophia Coffey-

Henry Trowbridge, Army pensioner, died 1909-

Possibly the young William Coffey in 1911 census with uncle William Coffey-

Sarah Elizabeth & Samuel Henry's surname as Trobridge-

More can be traced via addresses, etc. if you let us know what sort of information you'd like.
