Mary Louisa Morley born 1885 Malta. Who are your parents?

I'm trying to link Mary Louisa Morley to Rachel Loughry b 1857 Devonport and Edward Morley b Titchfield 1849 who married in Malta 1857. I don't have ML birth certificate.


They had 2 daughters and son listed in 1891 and 1901 census when Edward, a Corporal in RA, was stationed in Scotland and UK, but Mary Louisa not listed, which makes me think they are not here family.

But the fact that Their children were born in Malta, Gibraltar and England makes me think there could be a link.

The 1911 Census states they had 4 children of which 3 survived. Either one of the children listed earlier in the census returns died or this is the wrong Morley family.

ML's family had connections to Ireland ;Loughry is Irish name, RA were recruiters in Lisburn)....or am Clutching at straws so to speak. I need some hard evidence.

What fathers name does Mary Louisa give on her marriage cert?

What documentation/records do you have to show she was born in Malta?

Where do you have Mary Louisa on census so we can see who you are referring to

Rachel was born 1857 and Edward 1849  so could not have married in 1857

You are right Carole - I'm confused      I think it should be 1877 not 57

I wasn't sure whether it was 1875 (transposed 7 & 5) or 1877.  Can't be 1887 if Mary L was born 1885

I can't see a census entry for her 1891/1901
