Wolverley Hall, Wem
« on: Monday 27 February 17 21:48 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone tell me about Wolverley Hall between 1910 and 1939?
Or where I could find out?
Johnson, Crankshaw, Burdett, Shaw, Dawson/James, Whitebread/Whitbread, Drane, Hyett, Holtaway, Thompson, Bodell, Livermore, Gee, Vernon, Smith......the list goes on....and on...and on....

This Wolverley Hall is actually at Wolverley not Wem, do you know if it is the one yoiu want to know about?

http://maps.nls.uk/view/101593723#zoom=4&lat=4593&lon=4504&layers=BT

In the censuses there is a Pitchford family(farmers) living at 'Wolverley Hall' off Ellesmere Road,
In the 1891 census the next named house is The Woodlands

Park Farm looks close by in 1901 census (when Wolverley Hall is not specified as Pitchford address.)
So map looks correct, so not actually at Wem?

Thanks all - looks like I'd better write to them to ask.
