Looking for any information on Griffiths family    George Theophilis Griffiths b London 1840 - d 1915  Texas married to Sarah Evans b Wales 1836 d 1902 Oklahoma. They had 5 children - the first 2 girls were born in  Llanfihangel-Y-Pennant, Caernarvonshire, Wales  Elinor Griffiths b 1855 & Sarah J Griffiths b 1863.  Margaret Griffiths b 1865, Agnes Griffiths b 1868 and George T Griffiths jr b 1871 were born in Pennsylvannia.  Do not know names of Sarah or George's parents or siblings.  Any help appreciated.  They moved to the United States after the second child so I have no other information other than that of my great grandmother Elinor Griffith.

Hi

Are you sure about your dates please? You have George as married and with a daughter at the age of 15? Not impossible, but is it likely? Or could Elinor have been Sarah's daughter from a previous relationship? Sorry about all the questions! Here's another one - do you have George & Sarah's Marriage Certificate please?

Regards
Giggsy  :)

Hi

No obvious marriage on freebmd and nothing on the Welsh 1861 that matches the profiles given.

No Elinor (or similar) with those parents

Do you have death records for George or Sarah?  They might include parents' names.

That doesn't surprise me that there are no records from Oklahoma from that time, but I would expect one from Texas in 1915 to be available.  Are you certain on the date?

No obit and grave only says George Griffith father of Elinor Williams - guess we know who paid for the marker as he had several other children around.  am trying to find immigration info but no luck so far

Yes, I have the 1870 census too - Where I get lost is where they were in Wales.  I know George was from England and Sarah from Wales.
