Still trying to attach the snip!  Tried on some other threads and the "Attachments and other options" link works, others only give you the options.  Trystan - can you explain please?!

Thanks for explaining that Stan, I didn't know.  Seems a bit strange - if I did a look-up at say, my local studies library, as I did the other day for another person, that I then have to ask for their personal email address to send a scanned Parish Register entry to them.  I know that you can't do attachments to PMs.

Anyway, back to the matter in hand......  I am sure that Jennie will be very pleased to read the replies when she logs in again.

Apparently Trystan disabled the function due to copyright concerns.

Maybe Jennie could ask for the thread to be moved to Northumberland board for any uploads?

1841 census Civil Parish Stranton Durham Piece 316 Book 12 Folio 24

Peter Macdonald age 38 Labourer born Scotland ( labourer )
Catherine Macdonald age 30 born Scotland
Peter 14, Maria 12,Agnes 10, John 8, Isabella 3,Catherine 1

Rosie

That's interesting Rosie & very helpful as the 1841 normally only states 'y' or 'n' for whether born in County.
