On the marriage license dared 26 February 1773 it say he was of Norton Fallgate, occupation Grocer.
On the marriage it says he is a resident of the Liberty Of Norton Folgate and so is Hannah.

He could have moved to Diss as a business venture.

I have the book of Diss 1551-1837 transcribed by NFHS.
The last entry for Waller is James baptized 10 August 1743 of John and Ann Waller.
The name Waller does not appear again until 1780 and that John son of John and Hannah.

I did notice on NFHS on line site that Zephaniah born 16 August 1793 was baptized at the Wesleyan
Methodist Church  7 March 1812. So keep non conformist registers in mind

Norfolk Records Office
Ref PD/1000/116/201, has two papers.
Regarding John Waller and Ann who had son James 1743 at Diss, they have a settlement certificate dated 31 August 1739 certifying parish Combs Suffolk, parish of residence Diss.
So if this John and Ann are possible parents of "your" John 1749 approx. you could try Suffolk or they may have been the ones to move to London with son John returning after a few years of marriage.

Thank you among for all your information, I will look into Suffolk records, also the possibility that
John and Ann Waller may have been in London themselves when "my John Waller" was born.
