House in Sutton lane , Stanton Harcourt.
« on: Friday 03 March 17 18:08 GMT (UK) »
I have a person who died 1982 of Goldenbridge Cottage, Sutton, Stanton Harcourt , Oxfordshire.

Can anyone with local knowledge locate it for me please , there is a description as it`s a listed building,  but I can`t work out which it is. Hopefully these links might help.

In the villages there was little new building between the early 18th century and the later 19th; Goldenbridge Cottage, at Duck End, formerly two houses, was built c. 1830,

I don't have local knowledge but the listed building description is of a two storey limestone building with brick quions and a pantile roof which fits the house that is at right angles to the road as shown in the location shown on the OS map on the Listed Buildings site http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-252416-goldenbridge-cottage-stanton-harcourt-ox/osmap#.WLm8NH9m0rN

Yes that's the property - hopefully posting another shot

It's between the thatched cottages and open fronted single storey storage building which appears to be part of Cox's Farm to the rear.  http://www.yourlocalweb.co.uk/oxfordshire/stanton-harcourt/pictures/580191-coxs-farm-sutton/

That was my grandmother, if still of interest.
