I spoke to the elderly friend of mine this morning, she was connected to the O'Brien's at 16 Millfield, not the McShane's as I had thought. She didn't know the name Frank Clark but she has taken a note of it and will ask a few people.

I have checked the plot E543 at Cambusnethan, there are only 2 burials in it, the ones I have already mentioned. So it hasn't been used in 117 years. I also checked today, there is no gravestone but here is a picture of the actual spot.

I remember Sadie Hughes very well.  The last time I met her was in Cambusnethan, the night I met my future husband which was 16 years ago.  Also remember Jeannie Jones, the O'Neill's who lived at No 25, Rita Stannage, the Wrights, the Cowans, the Bells, in fact nearly everyone in the street in the 1950s/60s.

Hi again to everyone who had previously helped me find information about the Clark & Welsh families. I can’t believe it’s been nearly a year since I last posted. I got no further with my searches & just wondered for those of you that are still local whether you were about to find out anymore on frank Clark?
Hope you are all well
Thank you
