Were the parents of William Welsh(born 1938) William Welsh and Annie Cupchunas ?

Can you post the section of the marriage certificate that you cannot read ?

SP has the following deaths with mother's maiden surname as Cupchunas-

Catherine Welsh , age 62 , 1992 , Motherwell & Wishaw(other surnames for this death Tierney and Duffy).

Anne Welsh , age 71 , 2008 , Bellshill Lanark(shire)(other surname McRobert).

Could be different folks, but there are a number of mentions in local newspapers of the 1940s, of a Nicholas and Willie Welsh, who were involved in a St Brigid's Newmains Concert Party.

FindMyPast and British Newspaper Archives can be searched for articles in Motherwell Times and some other local papers, up to c1950s. Subscription and/or purchase of credits to view.

Hi Steph

I can give you some information on Mary (May) Clark.  Her parents were Frank and Mary, Millfield Avenue, Motherwell.  She had 4 brothers, John, Frank, Jimmy and Alex (all deceased except for Frank).  Hope this helps
