Baptism/Marriage/Newspaper
« on: Sunday 05 March 17 06:50 GMT (UK) »
I have a marriage certificate dated 15th February 1886 for a John Evans age 23 years a general labourer who married Catherine Jones age 21 both of Penybryn Minera.
John Evans father is listed as John Evans deceased a labourer.
Catherine Jones father is listed as William Jones a General Labourer.

John Evans was born Corwen Merioneth in 1863 and Catherine Jones was born 1865 at Minera Denbigh.
Wondering if anybody can help with their baptism records which would give me their parent names and would enable me to research further
and also the Newspaper which covered the Rhos Wrexham area in 1913.

Thank you Trish for the 1871 entries for a Jane Evans and son John Evans. Will research Jane Evans and hopefully find the link in the Evans family that I am looking for.
Cheers Kay

Located a 1881 census which gives a Jane Evans age 45 living with her son John Evans age 19. Now to look for the family in 1871 and 1861. I located a marriage of a John Evans and a Jane Vaughan in 1861 Corwen hoping that this is a match for me. Cheers
