His address was :  6 Eglinton Lane, Glasgow

Found him on the Liverpool England Crew Lists

J Fleming age 27 birth place Glasgow address Eglinton Lane Glasgow
Same address as marriage  ship Lake Erie

Not sure if you found your industrial school.

I had an ancestor William Cowan from Anderston area age 9 years who was sent to an industrial school until he was 16 years. According to poor law records from the Mitchell library it was Paisley Industrial school. I have not found him yet as I think I would have to look at the records in Paisley and I'm uncertain which  School . I think there may have been more than one industrial school in Paisley.

Maybe your ancestors industrial school was outwith Glasgow.

Given the addresses for this family and that they lived in Govan  Parish the most likely industrial school would have been the Govan Parochial Industrial School which was situated in Eglinton Street. The school was part of the Poor House complex before the institution was moved to Merryflats

No, I haven't found the Industrial School but, the one Falkyrn mentions - Govan Parochial Industrial School would make sense.

The Govan Parochial Industrial School you mention seems very likely being in Eglinton Street and, being near the family address. Didn't know there was one there.
