i got Charles Clarke DC and it stated that he had live 40 years in nsw and that at the time of his death he was at the royal Hotel Thornleigh in Sydney

Walter Clarke who was bn c1881 Battersea marries Rosa Pauline Davey 26 December 1914 at St Philips Church, Cheam Common, Surrey His occupation is 'traveller' - father Charles Clarke bootmaker -deceased.  Walter can be found with his brides family in 1911.

Did he marry in 1878 or 1887  :-\

thank you so far, he was first marry in Emeral Hill Victoria Aust in 1887 to Emily Thompson


seeing this Charles Clarke was born in 1849, is there any record of him marry before he came to Australian and left wife behind as he married in Victoria in 1878,

Elizabeth Mabel married in 9th April 1898 to Hamilton Edward Finlayson.  She said her father was Charles Clarke bootmaker deceased, her mother Elizabeth Hannah Clarke witnessed the marriage.

I can see the marriage of a Charles Clarke to Emily Thompson in Victoria in 1878.

sorry for making that mistake, but now I have to find if this Charles Clarke died or not or was it a put off, as there is a cc on trove that jump ship leaving England for Australia

Do you have the 1878 marriage record?  Does it confirm his parents names?
