I noticed some of the topics which I had read previously had [new] beside them. So it must be that if another reply has been made on the thread, and you have not read that new reply, then it will have [new] beside it.

It is quite possible that every thread could have [new] beside it, especially if you visit rootschat after not being on for a while. :-\

I always use [ Unread Posts ] and [ New Replies ], which have "New" against all items?!

The home page is the best because if you 'refresh' you 'all the new threads appear.  ;) :)
