I never use the home page either.  I find the listing of the 'Unread posts'  so much clearer than the list on the home page.  :)

I used both but looks as though I only need 'Home' now unless of course I'm searching particular Boards e.g. Inverness or Renfrew etc.

Yes, I think it's very helpful although I was a bit taken aback when I noticed it  ;D

The other little thing that is changed too is that when a topic is moved from one board to another, the "Moved" notice that points to the topic isn't now shown up on the home page.

That's because the moved link it's not really a new topic.

I always use [ Unread Posts ] and [ New Replies ], which have "New" against all items?!

Ruskie - It's where the action is!!! ;D ;D

I don't know where 'unread posts' is ....  :(

The home page is the best because if you 'refresh' you 'all the new threads appear.  ;) :)

It's at the top of the Forum page, just after where it says Hi! Ruskie . . . .

Got it thanks KGarrad!  :)

(I still prefer the home page despite all the new [NEW]s beside each thread).  ;D

What is the point of the little box that now appears at the top of the 'Unread Topics' page?  In the box I can see that the latest posts are:  Oh, Lord - now what.....!; What Regiment did George belong?;  and Aspley Guise, Bedfordshire LOOKUP request fro HUTTON.  Directly below the box is the list of posts where I can see that the most recent are:  Oh, Lord - now what.....!; What Regiment did George belong?;  and Aspley Guise, Bedfordshire LOOKUP request fro HUTTON.

If I click on 'New Replies,' up pops the same little box where I can also learn that the newest posts are:  Oh, Lord - now what.....!; What Regiment did George belong?;  and Aspley Guise, Bedfordshire LOOKUP request fro HUTTON.

And the same thing appears at the top of the Search page.

Enough is enough.  If I want to see the latest posts, I'll refresh the list of unread topics.

And now I see this at the bottom of the page.  Who is it?  Not Christopher Bernard as one might logically suspect.  No, it is my g-grandfather who has absolutely no connection to Mr. Bernard.  His photo only shows up because I have used him as an avatar and I replied to the Christopher Bernard thread.  Why should an irrelevant photograph be used to lure someone into the Christopher Bernard thread?

These pictures and unrelated topics have been appearing on here for quite a while now.  It often picks up avatar pictures as my dog has been there  ;D
