Guess it's as broad as it's long - however you access new replies (either via Home or New Replies) you can now see them whilst working on current thread without having to click on either!

However, it seems to have disappeared in the last few minutes anyway ....... :(

I don't see it and I don't understand the point of it.  On the other, I guess it doesn't matter because I never use the home page anyway.

Not that I ever use the Home page, but hasn't this always been there?

I always use the home page (it's where all the action is  ;) ), but yes, I think it was always a feature.

I think at this particular moment there are just a lot of new threads, so all the "news" are more obvious.  :)

It wasn't clear before which of the topics had been visited or not. So now, if the topic is new to you it shows up with a 'new' next to it. :)
