Eccles marriage 1806
« on: Tuesday 07 March 17 20:45 GMT (UK) »
Hi there,
Please would someone be kind enough to look up the marriage of John Swallow and Mary Marsden who married at St Mary the Virgin, Eccles on 27 April 1806. I need to compare Johns signature to that on the entry for what I believe is his second marriage in 1840 so an image would be required.
                                               Many thanks,
                                                        Pete.

Hi Garstonite,
Thanks for your quick reply to my request. Your research tallies up to what I believe to be correct, the 1840 marriage was at Manchester Cathedral by Licence, both "full age" in the register which doesn't help but their ages might be given on the Licence if it still exists.
John signs the 1840 register in a distinctive hand so I would like to compare it to his suspected first marriage in 1806 to tie the two together.
The Cathedral register original is on Ancestry but Eccles isn't so I am hoping someone with access to Manchester archives would be able to have a look for me.

                                    Thanks for your help,
                                              Pete.
