The heading is available at Scotlandspeople free of charge and in this case it was The Edinburgh City Hospital for Infectious Disease and listed occupation was 'school"

Thanks, I did wonder if it might be the infectious diseases hospital. There were actually three McLeod children listed in sequence. The third one was Ian age 10 and I had discounted him because he was born in Ullapool, Rossshire. Having researched John McLeod a bit more, it appears that he held a charge in Ullapool before moving to Kames so this is possibly three brothers ( sons of John McLeod).
Thanks also for amending occupation. I realised I had recorded it incorrectly in my post when I rechecked the census and was meaning to go back in and amend.
