Bevis professional actor/dancer

Hi
I am trying to sort a friends family history.
I have found a Joseph Benjamin Bevis, his second wife Adelaide in census returns from 1871.
He is listed as Dancer, professional dancer, professional stage actor and on his marriage cert as a musical agent. I have checked all the possible census returns, tried google etc I imagine they were probably just "bit players" so may not be on any play bills etc
The daughter of Joseph and Adelaide, also Adelaide (although Ada in 1901) was an "actress" in the 1911 census.
All were in the Greenwich area of London, although Joseph's second son was born in Liverpool, on tour perhaps.
Any ideas welcome.

Problem is they may well have been using stage names, which makes it more difficult. You quite often find references to most people in a company if touring the provinces in the ads or reviews, but looking in the newspapers I have access to, not a sniff, sorry

they had a daughter Violet c.1906 and by 1911 Sidney george was not at home

they seem to disappear after this although Adelaide the mother seems to have remarried

Maybe there is a death announcement in the newspapers which may give more information about his career
at least it narrows the search

Hi Suz,
Thanks I had found some of this, regarding their census detail.
Adelaide remarried to a Wheeler, just after Joseph died. She witnessed Adelaide's marriage as Wheeler.
 I hadn't yet found the probate for Joseph, although I had found his death.
Adelaide Langridge remarried but I have failed to find a death for her husband Sidney, was it bigamy.

Who did Adelaide Langridge marry - is she the 1911 marriage? 

To get a timescale for Sidney's death - their only child was 5yrs old in 1911 and Adelaide shows as married
